Technically, lists are supported by the software [Mailman](http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/ "http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/") and/or by the system [Zimbra](http://www.zimbra.com/open-source "http://www.zimbra.com/open-source"). # Mailing list management in Zimbra
If your email system administrator grants you mailing list management rights, you can manage your own mailing list management on the Zimbra system, available through the web interface at [https://webmail.deec.uc.pt](https://webmail.deec.uc.pt/).
To do this, simply go to Tab “Contacts”> “Contact Lists”> “Distribution Lists”.
In this area, you have a list of the distribution lists where it is inserted. If you are the owner of any of the lists, you will be notified that "You are an owner of this list." ![](https://helpdesk.deec.uc.pt/api/v1/attachments/288)
You will then be allowed to make the following changes to the email list in question:
- Add and remove members; - Change the title of the list; - Choose whether the list should be visible or hidden in the global address book; - List post or subscription permissions;
